The question paper of TANCET MCA Entrance Test consists of the following sections:
1. Analytical reasoning
2. Quantitative Ability
3. Logical reasoning
4. Computer awareness

There will be 100 questions in all in the question paper. There will be four options given for each question. Apart from the above mentioned sections a few questions can also be there on basic science, verbal ability etc.

1 mark is awarded for each correct answer. Negative marking is also there in the test. For each wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted. The answers are to be marked on an OMR sheet. Circles corresponding to the correct answer should be shaded. However multiple shading will be considered as incorrect answer and ¼ marks will be deducted for the same. If a question is not attempted no marks will be deducted for it. So the candidates should be cautious while answering the questions and should answer only those questions which they are sure about.
